Do you love nature and meeting people?  Do you want to share your interests, and help others discover backcountry treasures like Volcan Mountain?  The Volcan Mountain Foundation (VMF) is looking for volunteer ambassadors interested in helping out in a variety of ways while having fun—public outreach, volunteering at events, outdoor education with VMF’s student programs, and much more!

Kumeyaay Traditional Foods

Come learn the art of making Shawii and other traditional foods of the Kumeyaay at this class being offered by the Sycuan Education Department/Kumeyaay Community College during their Spring 2013 semester. Kumeyaay Ethnobotany Course

Kumeyaay Community College, in partnership with Cuyamaca Community College, is offering a course on Kumeyaay Ethnobotany for Spring Semesters.  This course will explore the relationship between the Kumeyaay/Diegueno People and the plants and vegetation of their traditional territory.  Come learn about the plants that were and are used to sustain, heal and protect the Kumeyaay Nation.  To receive college credit students must submit an online application and register through Cuyamaca College.
