August 6th, 7th & 8th-Summer in Nature on Volcan Mountain

Summer is a grand time to discover, adventure in, and explore nature at the headwaters of Santa Ysabel Creek shaded by abundant cedars, pines, and oaks.  Enjoy three afternoons of free, family-friendly nature programs of short hikes, nature crafts and songs at the Volcan Mountain Foundation Gateway Nature Education Center outdoor classroom from 3-5:30pm.  VMF Education Coordinator, Kathleen Beck, and naturalist Greg Hill will lead the group of happy hikers to great heights with their vast experience on naturalist adventures.
    

Volcan Wonder Walk-Rescheduled-Now Saturday, June 1st, 2013 at 8am

The Volcan Mountain Foundation is hosting a very special Volcan Wonder Walk.  Participants will hike to the Clint Powell Memorial Bench at the top of Volcan Mountain with VMF Education Coordinator, and Outdoor Specialist, Kathleen Beck and photographer, John Raifsnider.  The journey will begin at the Hubbell Gateway and include many magical moments of inspiring views and activities within the 1000’ elevation gain. Bring your camera! The $40 cost per person includes a picnic up on the mountain.
