Give new life to paper tubes as “Scary Eyes” just in time for Halloween! Join San Diego County Park staff and learn to recycle “trash” into fun crafts!

Meet at the Santa Ysabel Preserve Staging area on Farmer Road.  The interpretive program is open to all ages and is free to the public.  Inclement weather will cancel the event.  For more information on this San Diego County Parks & Rec event, please contact the local staff office at 760-765-4098.

Kids can carve their own pumpkin in time for Halloween fun! Come join San Diego County Park staff for a morning of fun, while enjoying the outdoors under the oaks. The park will provide a pumpkin and carving instrument, come early as supplies are limited. No personal carving tools are permitted. Meet at the Santa Ysabel East Farmer staging area.

Kids and adults alike will turn wood found in the preserve into a relaxing addition to any area of the home. Join San Diego County park staff as we create these calming instruments that make nature sing.

Volcan Mountain Foundation partner, Save Our Heritage Organisation (SOHO) is presenting their exciting Adobe University Program this coming Saturday, September 7th from 12-4pm.  There is still room for more students to register to learn all about adobe buildings as part of SOHO's restoration of the 1860s Kimble-Wilson adobe store on Warner's Ranch.
