Conservation Art Classes in Watercolor Scheduled for August 5th, 7th & 9th, 2013

What is conservation art? It is an art project that helps to elucidate why we need to conserve, or save, a particular species. In these classes we will be learning what is so unique about our conifer forests. Our living models will show us what is so spectacular about them.

Wilderness Filmmaking Workshop with Southern California Filmmaker, Jim Karnik, Saturday, May 18th, 4-5:30pm

As part of the 2nd Annual Julian Wild & Scenic Film Festival, the Volcan Mountain Foundation, will present local filmmaker, and producer of the highly-acclaimed 'The Wilds' series, Jim Karnik who will lead a wilderness filmmaking workshop.

Film Festival Luncheon with Resident Filmmaker, Chris Elisara, Saturday, May 18th, 12-1:30pm

Share lunch with and meet Julian resident, filmmaker, and Volcan Mountain Foundation board member, Chris Elisara from Noon-1:30pm.

VMF Kids' Mini Film Festival, Saturday, May 18th, 9-10am

Kids will be delighted, inspired, and empowered by the one-hour selection of Wild & Scenic films by, and for, kids.  The Volcan Mountain Foundation is proud to offer these set of films that are a natural extension of VMF's Education-Outreach program which seeks to nuture our future nature-lovers and conservationists.
