Saturday, September 21: Join Susan Meyer, VMF Engagement Coordinator, for a day on Volcan Mountain! You'll learn about VMF's different programs and fun ways you can help! Volunteer opportunities include outdoor education, habitat restoration, trail maintenance, bird surveys, wildlife camera monitoring, outreach tabling, special events and more. The Volunteer Orientation will include a tour of VMF's Volcan Mountain Nature Center, lunch, and optional hike.
This Saturday, September 28, the Volcan Mountain Foundation will be having Family Discovery Day!

Saturday, September 7 - Join Dr. Michael Wall for a presentation on the amazing world of insects. Afterward, we'll go on a guided walk to find insects and see them up close! You will learn about the unique life cycles, habitats, and adaptations of insects. You will also understand the reason insects are essential to the world.

The Summer Mingle is back for 2019 on Sunday, July 28th!
The Sustaining Friends Summer Mingle is now in it's third year, and has become quite a popular event for VMF's Sustaining Friends. A big thank you again to Pat & Darrell Straube for holding this fun summer get-together for the Sustaining Friends group!
This year, instead of gathering at Orchard Hill for VMF's 2019 Sustaining Friends Summer Mingle, we'll be taking in views of Volcan Mountain from Pat & Darrell Straube's Eastwood Creek Ranch on Farmer Road, while enjoying a delightfully summer-y happy hour menu of cold beer, sangria, sliders, salad and baked beans -- YUM! Pat was sure to note that special diets can, of course, be accommodated.

Saturday, August 24th, join us for a very special Artists' Reception and Performance for VMF's 2019 Marjorie and Joseph Rubenson Endowment for Art and Science at Volcan Mountain award recipients. The event will feature the premiere performance of an original composition for harp by Christina Tourin and the visual art of Kaili Park as inspired by Volcan Mountain.
